God vs Gays: My Response to Brandon Ambrosino

It has been a long time coming, and the day has finally arrived. The supreme court of the United States has declared that gay marriage must be allowed in all fifty states as a matter of law. Like many conservative Christians, I am saddened and alarmed by the decision. There are two primary reasons for my concern, and it may surprise some readers (and my gay friends) to learn that gay people marrying one another is not my chief concern. [Read more…]

The Supreme Court V Moral Absolutes

On Tuesday, April 28th 2015 the Supreme Court heard oral arguments regarding the legalizing of gay marriage in all 50 states. A decision is expected later this summer. Over 100,000 churches participated in a national solemn assembly to pray for the nine Justices who will decide the case. As was predictable, the court seemed to be split down the middle with the four conservatives leaning toward the biblical definition of marriage as being a covenant between one man and one woman, and the four liberals leaning in favor of gay marriage. End Times Refocused Conference

It is imperative that Christians understand what the Scriptures teach about the end of this current age. Far too many believers ignore the subject of the End Times despite the fact that the coming Day of the Lord is one of the most emphasized topics in the Bible. Many others hold to unbalanced or unbiblical doctrines that are rooted in decades of error.

The End Times Refocused conference, to be held in Las Vegas on August 7-9 2014, takes a fresh look at Eschatology through the lens of the Bible centered on Israel with a Middle East Pardigm. Many modern ideas about End Time prophecy will be examined in light of what Scripture actually teaches. Speakers include New York Times Best Selling author Joel Richardson (Islamic Antichrist, Mideast Beast), Mark Davis (author of Daniel Revisited), Alan Kurschner (author of Antichrist Before the Day of the Lord), Nelson Waters (www.thegospelintheendtimes.com), Greg Maxwell (theissacharmandate.com) and others.

One of the greatest challenges facing the Last Days Church will be disillusionment when world-shaking events occur in ways that most Christians are not expecting, and even more importantly, when expected events don’t take place. Jesus’ own disciples were caught completely off guard by His crucifixion and ascension, not knowing the Scriptures. Take the time to attend this important conference and learn about what the Holy Spirit is saying to the Church in this hour of preparation.

Daniels Prophecy of the Seventy Weeks, Part Two

In part one of this article, we dissected the first half of the famous Prophecy of The Seventy Weeks, given to Daniel in 500 BC by the angel Gabriel. We discovered that the prophecy contains an precise time frame for events of monumental importance, including the exact day of the revealing of the Messiah. In this second part, we will consider events yet to be fulfilled. [Read more…]

Turn! Turn! Turn!

One of my favorite old music groups is The Byrds. I love the sweet sound of that Rickenbacker electric 12-string and the gorgeous harmonies. My favorite Byrds song is “Turn! Turn! Turn! (To Everything There is a Season.) The lyrics for the song, with the exception of two lines, were written by King Solomon who ruled Israel from 970 to 931 BC. These lyrics were put to music in 1959 by folk musician Pete Seeger, who added the lines, “turn, turn, turn” and, “I swear it’s not too late.” These extra lyrics have taken on an apocalyptic significance in our 21st century world, and specifically in America. Knowing the Day and Hour of Jesus’ Return

I can hear the howls of protest already! There is probably no topic that brings more disagreement than the end times- the end of this present age and the return of Jesus Christ. And yet, if there is one concept that most people are in agreement with, it is the statement that no man knows the day or the hour of His return. Jesus did in fact teach His disciples this reality and I am not in any way attempting to cast doubt on it. [Read more…]

As In The Days Of Noah

In Matthew’s Gospel, Jesus gave his most famous and detailed teaching about events and conditions at the end of the age. (Notice that the Bible does not speak of the “end of the world” as unbelievers do, but rather about the end of this age.) Luke’s account of this end time message includes many of the same details and adds a few points not mentioned by Matthew. In this article I want to focus on one particular statement that Jesus made in both Gospels comparing the “Days of the Son of Man” with the days of Noah.  Luke includes a comparison with the judgment that took place at the time of Lot.

Ten Virgins

In the middle of His most important teaching on events at the end of the age, Jesus gave us the parable of the Ten Virgins. The elements of this parable-lesson, and the frightful warning it includes, should rock the sleeping Western Church. Jesus loves us with burning passion and His desire is to see all of His people enter into the Wedding Feast at the beginning of His Millennial rule. Let us carefully consider this parable which He gave us to that end.
