Last Days Revival and Biblical Hope

Like many Christians, I am praying for a national spiritual awakening in America. I’m not talking about temporary religious piety such as was seen in the weeks following the terrorist attacks on 9-11. Rather, I am referring to a full blown Great Awakening that changes the culture and brings the nation back to God in a deep way. [Read more...]

Ministry Trip to Erbil – Iraq

We have all seen the headlines and the images of suffering taking place in Iraq as hundreds of thousands flee from the advancing Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS.) This is a region of intense persecution but also a place of Biblical destiny. While the need for military support is real, there is also an enormous need for prayer and ministry to the Iraqi Kurds, as well as to the multitudes of displaced refugees who have lost their homes and family members. This area truly represents one of the greatest opportunities on the earth today to show the love of Jesus and the hope of the Gospel. The Church in Iraq is also in desperate need of encouragement to see what the Lord can do here. The eyes of the Lord are on this region:

In that day Israel will be the third party with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth, whom the LORD of hosts has blessed, saying, “Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance.” (Isaiah 19:24-25)

I have been invited to be a part of a small ministry team to Erbil, the capitol of Kurdistan in northern Iraq located right next to the Islamic State. The team, led by Joel Richardson, will travel to Iraq this winter, with several goals: To network with several established ministries in this area, directing outside support to them; to encourage the believers there with some wonderful prophetic scriptures about this region regarding revival in the last days; to take some time to minister to the displaced refugees; and finally to film as much as possible in order to show what the Lord is doing in the Middle East.

In order for me to join this team, I need to raise the necessary funds for airfare and other travel costs. The estimated amount is $2000. Would you consider partnering with me to bring hope and love to this desperate area of the world? As I am not a 501c3 organization, your donation is not tax deductible. However, your reward in Heaven will have great worth.

You can donate using the secure, simple Paypal button below. You do not need to have a Paypal account in order to donate.

Many thanks and blessings to you all for your prayers and financial support for this mission trip. More details will be posted as the trip draws near.

Evaluating Theological Ideas

CS Lewis once compared theology to a map of the ocean. Certainly walking on a beautiful beach is far more enjoyable and real than looking at a paper map that shows the ocean. But the map was created from the observations and experiences of many people who had sailed the ocean, making it quite valuable to anyone who wanted to get to a country on the other side. In the same way, theology may seem dry compared to experiencing the presence of God, but it is a valuable tool for those who want to know God deeply.

The world is filled with ideas about theology; so is the church. The world’s ideas are invariably incorrect because as Paul tells us, the natural man cannot understand spiritual things. They are foolishness to him because they can only be discerned spiritually. By “spiritually”, Paul means the man who has submitted his life and intellect to God and has learned to judge all things by correctly applying the Scriptures. New Age spiritualism is excluded. In fact, some modern spiritualists are more lost in wrong theology than the mere atheist. [Read more...]

End Times Refocused Conference

It is imperative that Christians understand what the Scriptures teach about the end of this current age. Far too many believers ignore the subject of the End Times despite the fact that the coming Day of the Lord is one of the most emphasized topics in the Bible. Many others hold to unbalanced or unbiblical doctrines that are rooted in decades of error.

The End Times Refocused conference, to be held in Las Vegas on August 7-9 2014, takes a fresh look at Eschatology through the lens of the Bible centered on Israel with a Middle East Pardigm. Many modern ideas about End Time prophecy will be examined in light of what Scripture actually teaches. Speakers include New York Times Best Selling author Joel Richardson (Islamic Antichrist, Mideast Beast), Mark Davis (author of Daniel Revisited), Alan Kurschner (author of Antichrist Before the Day of the Lord), Nelson Waters (www.thegospelintheendtimes.com), Greg Maxwell (theissacharmandate.com) and others.

One of the greatest challenges facing the Last Days Church will be disillusionment when world-shaking events occur in ways that most Christians are not expecting, and even more importantly, when expected events don’t take place. Jesus’ own disciples were caught completely off guard by His crucifixion and ascension, not knowing the Scriptures. Take the time to attend this important conference and learn about what the Holy Spirit is saying to the Church in this hour of preparation.

The Invisible Man

Once upon a time there was a man. He was not particularly good looking and there wasn’t anything that caused him to stand out or even necessarily be noticed in a room full of people. He did have a quiet peaceful countenance that you would have noticed if you had any personal interaction with him, but beyond that there was nothing special about him. If you paid attention you might have caught an occasional glimpse of sadness in his eyes, but most of the time he seemed to be upbeat with an inner contentment that transcended his rather drab surroundings.
This man worked in a cabinet shop. In fact, it was his father’s shop. [Read more...]

Daniels Prophecy of the Seventy Weeks, Part Two

In part one of this article, we dissected the first half of the famous Prophecy of The Seventy Weeks, given to Daniel in 500 BC by the angel Gabriel. We discovered that the prophecy contains an precise time frame for events of monumental importance, including the exact day of the revealing of the Messiah. In this second part, we will consider events yet to be fulfilled. [Read more...]

Daniel’s Prophecy of the Seventy Weeks

Of all the Messianic prophecies in the Old Testament, those recorded in the book of Daniel are perhaps the most detailed and panoramic. The crown jewel of Daniel’s prophetic utterances must surely be that of the Seventy Weeks, found at the end of chapter nine. This fascinating oracle lays out a detailed chronology of divinely determined events that lead to the end of this age and to the ultimate destiny of God’s people. [Read more...]

What the World Needs Now is an Enlightened, Benevolent, Dictator

Let’s face it, planet Earth is in crisis. The nations are in turmoil, wars and rumors of wars make daily news headlines, global economies are teetering on the brink of collapse, terrorists are strengthening in the face of passive governments and leaders, and extreme weather patterns are becoming so common that they are almost normal. A majority of human beings have lost any sense of a moral compass and embrace every deviant and godless philosophy and code of behavior, while growing increasingly intolerant of God’s chosen people: Israel and true, biblical Christians. Many people are coming to understand that business as usual cannot be sustained much longer without some serious reforms combine with global cooperation. [Read more...]

Barack Hussein Obama and the Controversy of Zion

On March 20th, 2013 Barack Obama visited the nation of Israel for the first time in his five years as President of the United States. Despite his frosty relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and his refusal to acknowledge Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, Mr. Obama voiced continued American support for Israel. He told Israeli leaders that America is Israel’s “strongest ally and greatest friend.” This has certainly been the case historically, but can Israel and America trust President Obama to stand by those words when it really counts? Sadly, the answer is probably not. [Read more...]

Telling the Truth Does Not Set You Free

Like many cycling enthusiasts, I watched the career of Lance Armstrong unfold. I was inspired by his fight against cancer, and using his fame and success to launch the Livestrong Foundation. I was deeply saddened to see it all come crashing down over the last few months of 2012. In January of the New Year, Lance admitted not only to being a rule breaker but also a liar, a bully, and a vengeful destroyer of other peoples’ lives. [Read more...]
